The Ocean Course at PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet is a championship golf course with a length of 7,400 yards and was designed by the former world number one golfer, Greg Norman. Providing panoramic views of the East Vietnam Sea, the course’s 18 holes blend the styles of a Parkland and Links course, featuring rugged and undulating sand dunes adorned with native grasses, adding distinctive accents to the rolling fairways.
The tee boxes are a distinctive feature here, stretching up to 100 meters in length on some holes. This allows the course to be set up in various ways, providing additional diversity for regular visitors and offering suitable tee-off options for golfers of all skill levels, whether they are world-class players or beginners.
Designed to adapt to the local wind direction, the holes on the course offer numerous playing options from the tee, depending on how the golfer wants to approach the greens. Norman, known as the “Great White Shark”, has not only incorporated the “Shark Alley” for more adventurous players on the fairway but also included several “speed points” in various areas that, when found, can support any shot towards the green and open up potential birdie opportunities.
The yard is covered with 100% Zoysia grass and Primo Zoysia grass, both of which use less fertilizer and require less water, Ocean has been built with the environment in mind. All of that combines to ensure any visitor to NovaWorld is sure to have a truly exceptional golfing experience.
